Friends of Daneshill

The ‘Friends of Daneshill’ (FOD) is an active and enthusiastic association, which organises social events for children and parents throughout the year and helps to raise funds to provide additional items and facilities for the school. Recent items that the school has been able to purchase thanks to the Association include a playhouse for the Nursery, a summer pavilion and music equipment to name but a few. In addition they help to raise money for specific charities.

Typical annual fundraising events for the FOD include Bonfire Night, Coffee mornings, Second hand uniform sales, Second hand ski-wear sales and a Summer Ball. They are also responsible for extending the community feel of the school to new parents and organise, amongst other initiatives, a welcome get together in the summer holidays.

Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Steinbeck-Reeves are the current Chairs of the Association and all parents are welcome to join and to help out with the great variety of events.
