Daneshill Gymnasts Surpass Expectations at the Nationals
The U13 Gym Team put in a memorable performance at the National Gym Championships on Sunday 9th May. With the whole of the South of England cheering them on they were up against some tough competition from specialist sports schools and colleges from up and down the country.
Each of the team performed a vault and a floor show and the top 4 scores were combined. The results were announced and Daneshill finished 6th overall having outscored the teams from the East of England, the North of England and the North West of England.
This is a fantastic accomplishment and the team should be proud of their achievement. We would also like to pass on huge congratulations to Mrs. Doyle whose hard work and dedication to gymnastics at the School can only be admired.
Well done to everyone involved (including the parents) - it really was a great team effort!
