Defending Champions return to Roche Court

Following the success of last year's entry to the annual Roche Court Art competition, our current Year 7 and 8 pupils returned to the New Art centre on Monday determined to repeat history.

We were treated to an excellent tour of the sculptures displayed within the grounds, in the gallery and Artists’ house and discussed and sketched the various works with the usual Daneshill enthusiasm. We were then introduced to this year’s competition, which is to design a chair inspired by an artist whose work they have seen. This wonderful workshop, led by Briony Biles, is the start of another exciting creative journey and we wish the children every success with their submission this year.
