Daneshill Amongst Tatler’s Top UK Schools
Daneshill School has been recognised by Tatler as one of the Top 230 Prep and Public Schools in the UK.
The newly published ‘Tatler Schools Guide 2011’ features Daneshill for the first time and has the following to say:
"Daneshill pupils regularly pop up as head boys and head girls of their senior schools – something to do with the school’s leadership programme, perhaps, which nurtures budding Thatchers and Camerons through activities such as scuba-diving, kayaking and underwater photography. This small-ish Hampshire prep extended its curriculum three years ago to educate pupils up to 13; half of last year’s Year 8 leavers won scholarships, which suggests that the school is getting things right. Drama is exceptional: a current Year 6 pupil is appearing in Love Never Dies in the West End. There’s a swanky music tech suite (complete with Sibelius music software, no less), and a new home economics classroom is next on the list. Daneshill pupils are sporting dynamos: the under-13 football team were undefeated last season, and the under-13 gym squad were crowned regional champions. NB: Not to be confused with Danes Hill prep in Surrey (not that you would)." (Page 70, Tatler Schools Guide 2011)
