Tatler Cites Daneshill Pupils as Force to be Reckoned With

Daneshill has been recognised in Tatler’s latest schools guide. At the awards on Monday evening, Tatler were proud to announce their latest publication, "full of indispensible, insider knowledge of the finest private schools in the country".

The team offered a fresh perspective on Daneshill’s progress over the last year:

Daneshill pupils are a force to be reckoned with – in the most charming way, of course. The children are ‘encouraged to live out of their comfort zones and take risks’, the school says. Too right. Activities range from chess and ballet to shooting, sailing and scuba diving, and drama performances are used to teach pupils to improvise under pressure. Parents get involved in everything from writing competitions to sports – the fathers’ five-a-side football tournament proved so popular that it’s cricket sixes next. Last year’s budget went on a swanky music-technology suite; for 2012, head Simon Spencer has turned his focus to the science department and is investing in more teachers and upgraded facilities. ‘Real education with exciting – and proudly scruffy – childhood experiences,’ the school tells us.
