Year 3 Egyptian Day

Gods, Pharaohs, Cleopatra, mummies and many more all gathered for a day of Ancient Egyptian fun. We enjoyed the challenge of making giant pyramids, created a clay cartouche and searched for hidden pyramids on a quest for clues to a riddle in a treasure hunt. One of the highlights was the mummification of a tomato, mixing up our own natron recipe and carefully weighing and preserving them. The day ended with an exotic banquet of food and dancing. We ate the bread that we had made alongside dates, lentils, figs, pomegranates, grapes and drizzles of honey. So much fun was had by all!
